Archiereus
Hello!

Today will be my fourth physiotheraphy session.

Will go through series of treatment, here's the usual sequence of treatment.

1. Ultrasound - to the spine area and especially the part where my muscle aches because it has to work more when reacting to the pain which makes me go limping to one side. The ultrasound will relax the muscle and soothes it because it passes through the skin and reaches the nerve and muscle.

2. Heat Pack - The physiotherapist would put 2 - 3 heat pack on my back, buttocks and my leg area to soothe the muscle and nerve.

3. Electric Current Treatment - this will work the muscle bit by bit to strengthen it i guess. They'll patch a few on my back buttocks and legs then i'll be electrified :P

4. Traction - What this will do is it will pull my spine a little bit to relief it of the compression.

They'll strap my lower body to a puller machine and upper body to the bed where im lyin on. Then the machine will pull my lower body for about 20 seconds then rest 10 seconds.

The Problematic area of my Back is my lower back. Where most people have their back pain as well. Its the area where our body rest on... the Lower Back!

So advice to all, GOOD POSTURE!

And even during using PC at the office and at home. POSTURE POSTURE POSTURE.

Good posture heals most of our lower back pain. Currently im wearing a Lumbar spine strap braces, so i wont bend forward to much and sprain my back nor my spine. It helps me to sit upright properly as well. Shirley always catches me slouching which is so not Good. As for her, she has always had Good posture, even my first impression of her is... she has a very good posture.

So as for my slipdisc, here's a picture of how it hurts my nerve.

Lumbar spine is the spinal area commonly know as the lowerback area for layman like me.

Like the diabram above, my slipdisc occured between L4 and L5. Or something like that.

Please click on the picture to see what lumbar spine is and also the other names of our spine and it's purpose :D

Ok then, i dont have anymore things to say bout spines,
what i know is that dont mess with it, take care of it...
you only got ONE spine you know..

hehehehe

OK then God Bless and have a nice Day!
